FAQs

First burn: Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface before extinguishing. This helps prevent tunneling and keeps the candle burning evenly.

Before each burn: With the candle cool, gently remove the charred tip of the wooden wick with a tissue. Keep the wick trimmed to about 1/8" (3 mm) and remove any loose debris before lighting.

Burning safely: Always burn within sight, on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and flammable materials. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Let the tin cool completely before handling.

Each candle begins with Canadian regenerative beef tallow, blended with beeswax, coconut wax and apricot wax into a 100% natural wax blend, then set around a wooden wick for a warm, steady glow. No paraffin. No soy wax. Just familiar materials, brought together with intention.

Our scented candles are finished with paraben and phthalate free fragrance oils containing essential oil components. For a quieter evening, our unscented candle keeps the same wax blend, with no added fragrance.

A good candle does not need to announce itself. Ours begin with Canadian regenerative beef tallow, rendered in house, a once discarded resource given a new purpose. Blended with beeswax, coconut wax and apricot wax, it becomes a 100% natural wax blend set around a wooden wick. Familiar materials, brought together with intention.

There’s no paraffin, a petroleum derived wax, and no soy wax. Just a thoughtful use of what already exists.

Our scented candles are finished with paraben and phthalate free fragrance oils containing essential oil components, each with its own character, from fresh fig leaves to warm woods and soft florals. Prefer candlelight without added fragrance? Our unscented candle uses the same wax blend.

Each candle is handmade in small batches, so subtle variations in texture or fine surface lines are a normal part of working with these ingredients. We think that’s part of the beauty.
